Military children often face the hardship of having a family member or caregiver deployed. The point of the website will be to help provide parents, teachers, caregivers, counselors, students, and school administration to help the child and family with coping strategies, lesson plans, activities, ideas, suggestions, and resources on "Dealing With Military Deployment" and the phases of the deployment process.
Previous research and studies has proven that educational facilities and school staff are not comfortable with providing services to the military child and their coping needs, due to lack of education, information, training and skills on the topic of Military Deployment.
The focus of this site should be able to help students in grades K-12.
Please feel free to offer suggestions and criticisms or provide additional resources that I may apply to this website. This topic is narrow and additional help is much appreciated!!!
